Apprentice Carpenter

An Apprentice Carpenter will have experience within the construction industry. The Apprentice should be ready to take the next step into growing into a Carpenter.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Represent the company in a professional manner
  • Lead an onsite crew of TMC team member’s
  • Complete construction-related tasks as a team & individually
  • Those tasks are but not limited to:
  • Concrete work
  • Framing
  • Exterior & interior finish work
  • Misc tasks pertaining to various types of projects
  • Organize onsite tasks & ensure efficiencies are maintained for the given tasks
  • Show a strong work ethic
  • Mentor & develop TMC team members skills
  • Take on increased responsibility from time to time as needed (ie site supervisor sick or not onsite)
  • Execute good safety practices
  • Respectfully engage clients onsite as needed
  • Be able to work alone
  • Be self-motivated


  • Experience with concrete forming, wood framing, metal cladding, finish carpentry and using construction related hand/power tools
  • Knowledge of the BC Building code and standard construction practices is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of safety-related regulations, preferred
  • First Aid Training, preferred
  • Journeyman Carpenter experience is beneficial
  • Excellent communication ability
  • Valid BC Driver license
  • Possess the ability to accomplish the duties of this position
  • Maintain a positive attitude while working hard
  • Have the appropriate safety attire and basic hand tools


  • Starting wage between $17 to $24/hour based on experience and qualifications
  • Benefits available after successfully completing a probationary period
