Dustin Born

President/ Project Manager

Dustin Born grew up in the construction and farming industry. Since the age of 6, Dustin has been helping out on the farm and growing his passion for agriculture. Following in his families footsteps, Dustin has been involved in dozens of agriculture projects which include various styles such as free range, broiler, layer, pullet, broiler breeder & organic chicken barns. While he is mostly involved in Twin Maple Construction’s Agriculture Division, he is also involved in the Commercial and Residential Divisions. His Commercial experience includes previous projects for Kirmac Collision, Fountain Tire, and Drumeo. Dustin is the husband to Colleen Born and together they have four boys ages five to eleven. He is an avid football fan with unwavering support for the Dallas Cowboys.

Sean Nicholls

Operations Manager/ Project Manager

Sean Nicholls is a Project Manager and Operations Manager of Twin Maple Construction Ltd. Sean graduated, with honours, from the University of the Fraser Valleys’ Architectural and Civil Drafting program. He has 14 years of commercial and residential construction experience. Sean is well versed in base building, tenant improvement, institutional, multifamily, and single-family construction. Sean has completed many commercial projects such as Rexall, Boston Pizza, Original Joes, Kirmac Collision, KPMG just to name a few. He has risen up through the ranks starting out as a labourer, then a carpenter, and now Operations Manager of Twin Maple Construction.

Chris Knox

Account Manager

In his role as Account Manager, Chris Knox works with each prospective client to help them on the first steps of bringing their dream building to a reality.  Chris has a diverse work background that allows him to understand different elements of the industry. With previous work history as a commercial driver for construction contracts, he started working at a metal recycler as a Foreman before being promoted to Head of Sales.  Chris’s family has deep roots in the Fraser Valley, he is committed to helping the community grow through involvement. Chris is the proud father of four girls.

Wade Hadfield 

Project Manager

Wade Hadfield is a project manager of Twin Maple Construction LTD. Wade started in the construction industry as a labourer and quickly became a carpenters assistant. He completed the BCIT carpentry apprentice program in 1998. Wade has 25 years of experience in the construction industry and has worked on many residential projects from single family dwellings, duplexes, condos and townhouses. He spent 6 years in concrete formwork and high rises construction. Wade also has 8 years’ experience as a project manager in the restoration industry. As well as experience in commercial and tenant improvement projects. Wade is married with two kids and resides in Cloverdale.

Trevor Slaunwhite

Project Manager

Trevor Slaunwhite is a project manager of Twin Maple Construction Ltd. With his 6 years of construction experience focusing on commercial, multifamily residential and institutional he has accumulated a diverse background in managing projects within construction, procurement, logistics and retail industries. Trevor specializes in tenant improvement, design build and specialty construction. He has completed projects for Boston Pizza, Vancouver Specialty Cedar Products, Rain City Housing, Vancouver Olympic Committee, Shaughnessy Veterinary Hospital, Province of Alberta, Capilano Suspension Bridge (Capbridge). Trevor is currently enrolled in Dalhousie University’s College of Continuing Education – Construction Project Management Certificate program and is schedule to graduate in November of 2019. Trevor is the proud father of one son.

Kristal Webb

Executive Assistant

Kristal Webb has lived in Abbotsford for over 27 years and has deep roots in the community. Kristal received a diploma in General Studies with a focus in Accounting from the University of the Fraser Valley. She has over 12 years of experience in the administrative and accounting field. At Twin Maple Construction she handles all the aspects of the accounting processes (payables, receivables, banking, reporting). Kristal is the proud mom of a 7 year old son.

Anne Kendall

Project Coordinator

In her role as Project Coordinator, Anne is responsible for directing, organizing, and controlling project activities to ensure project success. Anne is an honours graduate from York University’s Bachelor in Environmental Studies program and has been working within the construction industry since 2011. She is experienced in handling projects big or small, and acts as our in-office contact, welcoming feedback from our valued clients whether current or perspective. Born in Alberta and raised in Toronto, Anne has lived across Canada and is a recent transplant to the Fraser Valley. She is thrilled to be part of both the TMC team and Abbotsford community.

Brenda Eytcheson

Jr. Project Coordinator 

Brenda works as Twin Maple Construction’s Jr. Project Coordinator where she is responsible for general office duties, managing employee time logs, invoicing, and assisting with project coordination and events. Born in El Paso, Texas, Brenda is living in the Fraser Valley where her husband is from. Brenda is a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso with a Bachelor in Business Administration. She has over 15 years of combined sales and administrative experience and is thrilled to be a part of the Twin Maple team. Brenda is currently on Maternity leave after the birth of her first child. 

Colleen Born

Marketing & Administration

Colleen is an active and passionate member of the Abbotsford community, with deep roots throughout the Fraser Valley. Colleen has worn many hats in her life and has a background in finance, design and event planning; all of which have contributed to her success as Marketing Manager, a role which she revitalized in 2018. As a Mom to four boys, Colleen is adept at multi-tasking and is a natural leader. However, Colleen’s heart is in serving, and she has volunteered locally, in her children’s school, and overseas, including Thailand, Mexico and Brazil. Colleen can often be found at the many community events that TMC sponsors. Don’t be a stranger and say “Hello!” the next time you see her!

Site Supervisors

Matt Nicholls

As site supervisor for Twin Maple Construction, Matt’s daily jobs include leading crews, on-site training of staff, handling and communicating daily construction tasks on site, emergency task management. Matt primarily works in Twin Maple Construction’s Commercial Division and has led many recent projects including several Rexalls.

Duncan Hurst

As a site supervisor, Duncan brings 9 years of construction experience, primarily in the commercial and retail space. Duncan is also a subject matter expert in performance development, team member engagement and workplace culture which he learned through several years of business strategy people leadership. Being very goal oriented, he is driven by exceeding targets and improving operational efficiency on his projects. Duncan's true passion is being a family man to his wife and two daughters. In his spare time he enjoys learning to play guitar.

Jesse Jones

Jesse Jones was born to be a carpenter. Entering the industry immediately after high school, Jesse recalls that, “I fell in love with the trade the first day I put a tool pouch on. I knew in that moment this was going to be my career.” Having joined the TMC team in 2017, Jesse has become an integral member of our agricultural division, as well as supporting our commercial and residential divisions. He has attended BCIT for construction and is now approaching his tenth year in the trades. When Jesse is not working, he can be found exploring B.C’s great outdoors, enjoying activities such as fishing and hiking. He is also a practicing martial artist, and spends much of his free time training at the gym. Of course, no description of Jesse could be complete without mention of his humour and goodwill. Jesse’s positive attitude and comedic outlook on life are valued and enjoyed by all his teammates on site and in the office. This winning combination of character and experience is what led to TMC’s promotion of Jesse to Junior Site Supervisor in 2019.

Apprenticeship Program

Twin Maple Construction is dedicated to investing in the growth of the carpentry industry and local community through investing in young apprentice carpenters. We currently have a number of apprentice carpenters in our apprenticeship program. Twin Maple Construction provides mentorship and gives carpenters the ability to grow to leadership positions within the team. All apprenticeship programs are run through the Industry Training Authority BC.
